Paulo Martins has a degree in Chemistry, and post-graduate studies in: Audits of Integrated Management Systems of Quality, Environment and Safety; Environmental Management and Politics; Advanced management in energy and an Advanced Energy and Sustainability Program. Work experience of 20 years in the R&D Nacional Laboratory of Energy and Geology (LNEG) and since 2015 as senior officer at DGEG – the Directorate General of Energy and Geology. Presently Head of Energy Sustainability Division in the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology. Experience included R&D projects and participation in the development, implementation, and monitoring of energy policies, including NECP, hydrogen strategy and biomethane action plan.
