Javier Dufour is Professor of Chemical Engineering, Rey Juan Carlos University, and Research Professor and Head of the Energy Systems Analysis Unit, IMDEA Energy Institute. Leader of the Technical Committee Cross-Cutting Research Activities and member of the Executive Board of Hydrogen Europe Research, is a former member of the European Panel on Sustainability and Circularity of Hydrogen and Chairman of the Spanish Network of Life Cycle Assessment (Nov 2012-Jun 2018).

He is working in hydrogen sustainability for 20 years, and he is the author of more than 150 articles published in international journals, 10 book chapters, more than 230 contributions to national and international conferences and 3 patents. In addition, he has been the editor of 2 books. He has coordinated more than 55 research projects and contracts, having collaborated in more than 45 others. He has received three research and dissemination awards. Ranked in World’s Top 2% of Scientists List performed by the Stanford University and Elsevier.
