Alfredo Ortiz Sainz de Aja is currently a Full Professor with the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department, the University of Cantabria, Santander, Spain. With in the research group Advanced Separation Processes, he leads there search lines focused on hydrogen technologies, including purification units, electrolyzers, and fuel cells for mobile and stationary applications. He has participated in 40 research projects, authored or coauthored 74 articles inhigh-impact journals (h-index=33), authored four book chapters, and presented results with over 120 international conferences. He is the co-author of one patent and has co-supervised nine Ph.D. theses.
